Who I Am -------------------------------------------
Writer. Writing. Writes.
I am a writer. I create worlds. With my pen and paper I play God. I give birth to a child, then I take its life away. I make beautiful rivers and marshy swamps. I have a world in the palm of my hand. Either I end it or I make it grow. I make young lovers, I make arch enemies. Thunderstorms and droughts- I create them. In my world I could kill you. Or I could make you flourish.
I am a writer. I can end your world.
well this was an interesting piece to read. as writers we do create different worlds and create people or things in them and give them emotion or feelings. and we can take all that away just as easily as we can make and write it. usually i would complain that this is written in paragraph form but its not that hard to follow so its not really bugging me lol.
Interesting. Kind of made me think of Whitman... not that there were any similarities in writing styles... its just that he tended to "toot his own horn" a bit... guess your poem had that same kinda feel to me.
if you have never read any whitman.. i suggest you check him out. "The Leaves of Grass".. is written so eloquently.. and with such a power about it.. that in my mind.. it could equal "The Holy Bible".
