    I miss you like you were once mine
    But perhaps I was merely obsessed
    Believed things that weren't true
    Falsely loved you.

    I mistook your kindness for an interest
    in my heart, my head knew better.
    It didn't take much to turn me on
    Now you are gone.

    Promised you'd keep in touch
    Liar
    But it's too hard to hate you
    Let's see if my heart locks
    For this love detox.

      This is a nice little poem. You have expressed yourself well and I like the concept of a love detox. I never really thought of it that way but you know it really does fit. Losing someone you love really hurts a lot and the experience is one that you never forget. And the feelings are so painful when this person is gone from your life that I would say that detox is a very good way of explaining it. But then it makes me think of love as a sort of poison, and I guess it is when it goes bad. You have enlightened me with this concept. A good poem. Take care.

      i liked this alot and i'm sure on some level everyone can relate to this, i know i can. the whole wanting and loving someone and mistaking their kindness and compassion for an interest in you and then finding out that friendship is all that's there. keep writing.
