Where are you now? Now that life has come to a close. Where are you now? That you are no longer with us You are in heaven With the Lord as your guide A peaceful place in the skies I can almost see you when I close my eyes Do you know that I love you? For I often told you so Do you know that I miss you? Though it was your time to go I will see you again When my days here are through Until then I will miss you For I already do Have you found joy? In your heaven up above Have you found joy? Peace and love The joy you deserve And the happiness as well Peace well justified By the tired look in your eyes We all know it was time Yours to leave, and ours to say goodbye As we waited for your final day to come All began to cry Old times were remembered New ones ready to begin For now you may look down at us Through you loving eyes and see That we will always love you No matter how far you seem to be |
Sigh. A very innocent and honest poem. It's interesting to imagine loved ones in heaven? Do they remember us? Are they watching us? We hope so... It's so weird, death...Like they left us, but not really, but they still did...and how much we wonder in the expanse of the universe, heaven and hell, Where are you now? In the first stanza when you speak of peaceful skies, etc. it really gives a sense of peace....Which of course is beautiful. The rest of the stanzas are very well put for someone who just lost a loved one...but my favorite remains the first. Keep writing and I really hope to read more from you Very, VERY sooN!!!!!!
