my best friend goes to college full time and has a part time job.. she lives a couple of cities away from me and the only way we can see eachother is if she drives to me.. since i wrecked my car a while back... she cant afford the gas money all the time and it really sucks because i miss her

~Fuck the Gas Prices~ dots

Priced too high to come,
Visits are lessened,
Gas prices!
Reaching above and beyond,
What minimum wage can provide!
Why Mr. President?
Why Mr. Gas company?
Why barrels of oil?
Why not alternative fuel?
Fueling our economy,
Turning the key,
Revving the engine back up,
On our sociability!

  the poem is nice and original but doesn't flow all that smoothly. never the less it's a good poem. I could never pull off a poem about gas prices that's for sure. lol keep up the cool original work

  ahhh gas prices, my parents complain about'em everyday. I like the way it's to the point and it asks tuff questions even though they shouldn't have to be asked

  you had me at the title. [censored] THE RISING GAS PRICES! it's not my fault i don't drive a hybrid. i just like to actually have some power under the hood.

  it would be silly on my part to see this as a comedy piece but that's kinda how i pictured it in my head. like "this *ish* sucks" piece. well, i liked it, so no worries. i get what you were saying. ur pretty gorgeous ur damn self. GET ON DOWN! lol. lata~nahlij

  A powerful message. Over here (in UK) prices are the highest EVER but only because we have a small oil supply. The US should be able to run off its own supplies if the prices of foreign oil gets too high but thats off subject.

I liked the ryhme at the end, even if "sociability" sounded a little wierd in context, and I also like the comparision to revving the engine back up again, very nice.

  I liked this alot. I liked how a common irritation is put into poetic form. The honesty, I like how it's in the readers' face. Nice work here.

  Hell yeah! [censored] you gas prices. This is a great piece on something all driver and few passengers can relate. I commute to school an hour each day and understand how it feels. I wonder where does all the money go to. Anyway, best of luck to us all, if there's an end to the increase in prices.

  i know how your friend feels. i go to a university that is about 20 miles from where i live and i go to work right afterwords. gas up here is on avg 2.30 it sucks...i feel your pain

  Its hard when things you cant change mess with yr life , its also weird you say gas we call it petrol or diesal ( i'm from the uk ) the thing in life i cant change is the fact i dont look like a supermodel and havnt got lots of men after me lol

  Well, I saw the title.. I figured this poem was going to be horrible.. But I was wrong! I have never seen a poem about gas prices and I think you pulled it off well. Good work.
