    Description:
it is about being nostalgic of one's homeland, remembering all the beautiful things you've had there and that you wish to get back. But if you return, would it still be the same? I was kind of inspired by a Milan Kundera's novel of the same title.

    Seven years elapsed
Since your first step to here.
Here where tomorrow has a future,
    Today has an opportunity,
And yesterday is not recalled of.

Yet, you wonder and reminisce about your past,
About the other side of the world.
    About familiar and friendly faces,
Strolls you took with your beloved in the bazaars,
Grand feasts of laughter and delight,
    Pretenses of wild adventures.

    Should you return?
    Return to your blissful memories
Or return to an unknown path?
    Perhaps you’d rather not know.

:) wordsofmind, Your thoughtful brillence is glowing brightly through your wonderful words of poetry. The face of reality always shows itself through our thinking process as we ponder over things related to our past, present, and sometimes the future. I thought the closing was perfect as thoughts become somewhat confusing, "Return to your blissful memories or return to an unknown path? Perhaps you’d rather not know." Many times depending on our own past many memories are rather pleasant with some being placed into lost deletion with still some being clouded, forgotten, and not clearly known. Great Job. Thank You for sharing your creative thoughts in poetic form and especially for giving us a small part of you. As I now prepare to part, I have a small request to ask of You from All of us. Would you please keep your poetic pens ink flowing across sheets of paper as we your readers eagerly await your next poetic caper. Your Friend, MickPigKnuckles :)

I like it the way it is. A little too vague for my taste, but appreciable nonetheless. All too often, while dangling in that void we call "writer's block", we tend to write things from the tops of our heads. I don't know about everyone else, but these are the best times to write and the best things written.

I like it yes. But dont return. The past is the past, if time has elipsed since then, then change has occuried. You wont like returning because it'll be different. Smile, shrug it off, and go forward:O)
