    dotsA Dedication: A Guardian Angeldots

I'm on the outside looking in
    Of a Guardian Angel
    Taking weary childern in
So much abuse they have lost
    the meaning of love
But there is a special someone
    Who shows them it exists
    from up above

    Someone ordinary,
    becoming someone great
She knows what she's here for
so she just accepts her fate
    To show love and understanding
    to those that never had
    Nothing but a pitfiul excuse
    For a mom or dad
    Some have pent up emotions
that they have trouble with expressing
but she decides to teach them
    one of life's valuable lessons

She shows them a simple concept
a simple pen and a pad
says they can write about anything
    happy, mad, or sad
    Some get really angry
because they know of nothing else
They don't trust the Guardian Angel
    because they've always had
    to do for themselves
    Not used to being loved,
not used to being shown care
Why would this stranger care about my affairs?

    Little do these children know
    they don't have to continue
    living so low
    The guardian angel is here
to do away with all fear
of not being accepted nor being
able to live without love and tears
    we know her as ravenwolf68
they know her as Ms. Lisa
the one who opened my gate
To the reality that people really do care
    love and happiness
    she truly tries to share

This is an honor to a Guardian angel
to someone who works with kids
Lisa is all i know her by
she makes so many kids fly
She has done shown her worth
for the good she has done
showing that the world does have some fun
    no longer will troubled kids
lay and cry themselves to sleep
    in those hard beds
They have learned not to weep
Not everyone is a success story
but she does what she can
    A stronger woman than most
compared to her I'm no man

This is dedicated to ravenwolf68, LISA,
for the job that she performs everyday
this was inspired by her piece, a personal rage
For it is for people like this on the frontline,
that makes this country what it is
not the presidents or the fame we have
its for these simple people that make
this land envious to all those who are not here

Ben, this was an absolutely lovely tribute to Lisa, so appropriate. As I wrote to her it takes someone truly gifted with patience and a big heart to work with these children. Your Poem is so well written an captures that spirit so well. It is fitting and wonderful!

I applaud you for this touching tribute to Lisa. It takes a kind heart (that's yours) to notice the good that others do. I'm very glad to know there are people like you and she in this world. We need more. It is in "giving" that brings true happiness to the soul.
    So beautifully written.
    Take care!

I have a passion in my heart for the youth. I have been working with youth for about 6 years now. Anyone who can love these children this much deserves a whole book of poetry written to her. This was a nice tribute to her. JOb well done. This shows that you really have a heart as well. X loves the kids...

This was wonderful. It really was. She is a wonderful person and you really showed that through this piece. You brought those who didn't know her...to have feelings towards her. That is pure amazement. You are such a dear person. I've seen that in you ever since I met you.

This is a wonderful dedication piece and well deserved. Most people don't take the time or even care to look as deep into these kids that Lisa works with...hopefully you'll be able to help open some people's eyes, along with her writings. Thank you for giving credit where credit is due. You put a lot of feeling into this and it shows. 'Guardian Angel' is a great way of putting it. Thanks so much for sharing!

I shared your poem with a few of my more competent colleagues and we all feel very fortunate that someone could be so sensitive and understanding of what we do...when someone like me, working in this field, sees something as beautiful as this, it is even more of a reason we can walk into work with head held high and appreciate what we do even more. There are a few in this field who do not belong and should be working elsewhere, but they are far out-numbered by the many of us who live to do this work every day
    Thank you,

I am sitting here in awe...when you said you were inspired, I never knew you meant this...
I'm at work right now, just on my break...
I am flattered, touched and about a million other emotions...
I'm afraid to comment on how beautiful this for fear of sounding arrogant...
Thank you, I am humbled, amazed and blushing which never happens...

This is (and I know I'm just an echo in this long hall of comments) a wonderfully beautiful piece!

I often laugh when people say there are no such things as Angels, and then I pity them for not being able to see that there are in fact Angels walking amongst us. Lisa seems to be one. She is a good example that though not one person can change the world, they certainly can make a difference and start the ball of change rolling.

this is a beautiful dedication to Lisa. i have only just recently met her and can tell she is a compassionate and caring woman. the children of the world need more people like her.

i have also worked with children in the past and have learned so much from them. there is a gaggle of young kids in my neighborhood who discovered me recently and all they want to do is hang out here! they bring such joy into my life..

i enjoyed this very much. what a wonderful thing to write for a friend. i am sure she was deeply touched.

Its nice and commendatory to say happy, joyful and nice things about someone who dedicates much of their life to creating beautiful minds in children. If childrens' minds are not fixed on the cardinal virtues then they will have no defense when confronted with evil virtues except to do a bit of following into the evil.

Give my thanks also to LISA She is shaping the world for the better doing it one mind at a time.
