This is fairly dark for me, but it felt good to get it out. It's about guilt, procrastination, and lying awake at night.

    Salt and buttered
    Bread I plead
    To push against
    My brain disease
    To plug the pores
    Dam all the seas
    And as I lick
    This platter clean
    I pray to night
    My conscience flees

    These bottled spices
    Make me cry
    Like sand, the fluid
    From my eyes
    So patched, my throat
    I teach with wine
    And poison fruit
    As I devise
    To swallow time
    To my demise

    But not enough
    To blur your form
    Your silhouette
    Still far from torn
    So turning now
    I whip my senses
    Warm and numb
    To mince the mood
    And cake my heart
    In comfort food

Wow. Did this feel good to write? One of those purge things. They are the best. That is what most of my work is, just purging. This goes deep, I mean...well, actually, I don't know how to explain it (I should erase that, but I won't, because that is how I am).

Heh, comfort foods, yes, mine is mashed taters...don't ask...I'm a little odd. Most people go for sweets, me, I'm completely opposite...unless there is ice cream near me...but that tends to make me hyper...

(Uhm, I think I am going to stop, I have confused myself, quite a bit.) ghb nhbvghjbvn hbnnnn(My niece says hi...she is sitting in my lap...)

Bravo! Something more than "I love her/She left me".
    "So patched, my throat
I teach with wine and poison fruit, etc"
That little passage speaks volumes on so many levels, American consumption, personal habits of the depressed, how we as humans eat
    Sweet as pie.

like always, amazing. I don't know how you come up with the things you do, but... wow. ^_^ You're way of thinking is apparently out there... but it makes for interesting writes and views on life. Like Apocrypha said, its more than the I love her, she left me thing. I like it. And comfort food is something you usually dont see in poetry, altough many people use it in life... i like it. Nice. very nice ^_^
