Hello, my precious child, I understand why you cry. I came to tell you God is near, And your mother watches from the heavenly sky. I know it’s hard comprehend, I know it’s hard to be alone. God knows you may have disbelief, From all tragedy that’s been shown. Your mother was so beautiful, She loved you very much. It had nothing to do with you, So please put down that gun you clutch. You have a life ahead of you, One God promises is worth living. He sent me down to tell you so, He is asking for your forgiving. You will have some trials in your life, And all you will overcome. To these thoughts you have right now, You mustn’t let your mind succumb. Here is a jar sent from above, Holding all your mother’s tears. She has been crying for some time, She wants you to live out your years. Please dry your tears and see the light, In time, you will be with her once again. She will make sure she appears in your dreams, Every now and then. She gave you life through the work of God, They each hold hands as we speak. For they both see the strength inside, Even though you feel so weak. Lay down your head and rest, I will sit near the side of the bed. I am looking over you now, And together, we will move ahead. |

Both the despair and agony of the loss and comfort from above were emotionally and effectively expressed. I believe that is exactly what your mother would say and feel! | This was lovely and heartfelt! :) Steve | Posted on 2005-07-28 00:00:00 | by SHRINKSDR | [ Reply to This ] | *tear drop tear drop* i love it. the rhyme and rhythm, this poet flows well. in the end, however, it was a little off. I could picture the scene clearly (and the image helped alot). My goodness, you are skillful enough to publish professionally. | | Posted on 2005-07-28 00:00:00 | by Lee Minsu | [ Reply to This ] | this is a very touching poem.. i really like it.. it is inspirational even if you arent a religious person.. thank you for sharing | ~*~amber~*~ feel free to comment on one of my poems | Posted on 2005-07-28 00:00:00 | by rocknpoetrychik | [ Reply to This ] | This just made me think of my best friend...how she lost her dad at a young age to suicide. This work is quite inspirational in nature, very nicely done, wording is perfect for this. | Alan | Posted on 2005-07-28 00:00:00 | by MidnghtScorpion | [ Reply to This ] | i myself am not into the whole religious setting but i must say this is a touching piece and wrenched at my heart. i hope this wasnt a poem that was from an experience. if it was that's so tradgice and i am very sorry to hear that. keep up the good work... | | Posted on 2005-07-28 00:00:00 | by withouthope | [ Reply to This ] | beautiful; simply beautiful. cofort needed and given. awesome. don't know what else to say. this clearly shows the presence of a higher power that helps get you through the absolute worst part of your life. great job. | J | Posted on 2005-07-28 00:00:00 | by bentnotbroken | [ Reply to This ] | How very beautiful! To have an angel visit you in such a way.. and in the most needed hour of your life it seems. | These words you have written here are so true. We all have that inner-stength.. it just has to be shown to us at times as our eyes grow too dim with the troubles of life, to find it. Your mother sounds like a lovely lady and it's a warming thought I'm sure, to know that she is somewhere above, watching over you. The entire poem was just lovely.. and the last line closed it out so well.. "And together, we will move ahead." An enjoyable read. Thanks for sharing. Take care of YOU, ~Sandra | Posted on 2005-07-28 00:00:00 | by Intricate1 | [ Reply to This ] | |
