Description: venting (lil hidden poem). say whatever you want. i's are imaginary numbers: it's impossible to take the square root of a negative number, so the squar root of -2 would really be written as i(square root sign)2. (i do not have math symbols on this computer.) the radicand would be the 2.
Love from The Mathematician -------------------------------------------
He scribbled on my heart
little lies
to make me believe his
big lies
And i wanted to feel his soul
but it was false
And i wanted to know his truth
but it was all a lie
And in his sea of numbers
he sent me currents of i's
because his radicands--
his cells of blood--
were negative.
This is quite original. I can't say I understood this line: 'his cells of blood' negative cells of blood? Is there something I didn't learn in bio? lol
The math I definitely know... The metaphor was cute- can you expand on it some more? The repetition of 'lie' for the third time didn't seem to do anything for me. In fact, it dragged out the poem unnecessarily. We already know he is lying, no need for those two lines.
Good write! Don't be discouraged by me. Maybe I just couldnt see the whole picture of what you were trying to write. =]
