Description:

This is my latest work in the world of lyrical stylin. i have one from about a month ago i still haven't put up, but rest assured it will show up sometime.
and who says you can't cuss in Inspirational Rock (not to be confused with Christian Rock)?

Who I Am

You’re confusing me
With everything you say
You torture me
Every single day
You’re breaking me
I slowly waste away
Feel the sin
It burns within
But you won’t see me change

Say what you will
And say what you might
I don’t give a damn
‘cause you can’t change
Who I am

You can take away
Everything
They gave me
Make me sacrifice
Everything
That keeps me down
Take my fate
Rape the faith
That made me
You can’t take away
Anything
That makes me
Me

You’ve mistaken me
For someone else
But then again
I don’t know myself
Stop accusing me
‘cause you’re the one to blame
There’s nothing left to say
‘cause I won’t play
In your fucked up game

Say what you will
And say what you might
I don’t give a damn
‘cause you can’t change
Who I am

You can take away
Everything
They gave me
Make me sacrifice
Everything
That keeps me down
Take my fate
Rape the faith
That made me
You can’t take away
Anything
That makes me
Me

It’s what we all wanted
But never could have
We want something different
But it’s never been had
You wanted to change me
So please don’t feel bad
I just don’t give a damn
‘cause you can’t
Change who I am

Say what you will
And say what you might
I don’t give a damn
‘cause you can’t change
Who I am

You can take away
Everything
They gave me
Make me sacrifice
Everything
That keeps me down
Take my fate
Rape the faith
That made me
You can’t take away
Anything
That makes me
Me

Inspirational rock cannot be beaten my friend, and the message here is pretty inspirational. Although I thought at times, there was a hint of rap and/or spur of the moment type things, eg. rape the faith, which sounds a bit violent as opposed to "inspirational" but its your write. That would have to be the part I disliked because it didn't seem to fit in with the inspiration but the rest was a refreshing read. A job well done, nice one!

Nice lyrics...I would love to hear the track. I could hear the melody and everything. That's one hell of a song you got there...
