A simple tremor away from dividing into thousands of mistakes.
Replicating the true nature of all who dwell in the uncertainty
of man kind.
Shadows of perfection and trancslucent meaning drift in
an ever shaping prism that defines all that you thought to be true,
But it is not.
None of it is as it seems.
A walk into the mondane that you reject and you build on the rejection of imperfection and that seems to be a comfort.
A long lasting lie that eludes us all from what is the inevitable truth.
Human kindness is of the past.
Loving touches turn to spite with each trial and heartbreak we become more numb and more desensitized, more inhumane.
Mistakes no longer emulate lessons rather they emulate conformity, acceptance.
Each child grows off the disfunction of their Fatherless hole,
and each Mother shovels pieces of her shame and failure down the throats of their babies in a sorry attempt to erase the abundance of contempt their own mothers breed into them.
All of this,
Every bit of it,
cracks my soul into nothingness.
I have become one of them as well.

American Zombie.

Shadows of perfection and trancslucent meaning drift in
an ever shaping prism that defines all that you thought to be true,
But it is not... these lines ring true on so many levels. We are forced to think and conform to society standards and are taught that own own unique ideas and thoughts will not be accepted in the "real world".

This poem really made me think about my son and the lessons of the world

Hmmm, I don't know if you mean "zombie" in an unfeeling way or not. You seem to put more of the cynical side of life and experience in here, do we all become cynics as we keep getting knocked down again?
An interesting write, and very thought-provoking, I liked he way you've done it, and have no criticism, I reckon it's fine as it is.

be Happy

I'm not sure I can even come close to saying what this poem says to is not a Walt Disney movie, like so many young mothers today are making their children believe. Just wait til they grow up and find out the truth! Culture shock!
Mothers shoving pieces of their shame and failure down their babies throats...awesome...
I love this kind of writing, it is so intensely addicting.
