Description: this is about the past let it not be the future.
A Mother's Heart -------------------------------------------
She stood up tall
Child grasped between her arms
held tightly, with determination
they silenced her words
her back straight against the concrete wall
her breathing steady in long, deep breaths
thier German commands rang through her mind
the crooked cross stitched to thier upper arm
they all peered at her with disgust
no longer a human but an animal to them
she was treated as a wild beast
her child disgraced like swine
indeed it were them who were inhuman
she thought in her mind
How can people be so cruel?
she pleaed within herself
Where is all hatred stemming from?
she pondered hopelessly
yet the shouts pierce
her ears
and the frigid cold swirls against her pale skin
her baby sobbing in the same monotonous tone
she clenches it so tightly
as though her bony arms would stop
the penetration of the bullet soon to come
she stood thier without the dignity of clothing
nor the respect of privacy
Kill me! not the child!
she screams at deaf ears
it is all the same to them
age doesn't mean anything to them
humanity doesn't have any value to them
the heart of a mother means nothing to them
does anthing mean anything to them?
Yes. yes something does.
the man standing proud
on the poster above her head
never forget the very thing that man did
or it may happen again
this poem was truly something that took guts to write. i could actually see everything taking place and happening. felt the pain the woman was going through. the worrying of her baby...that maternal protection that only comes from a mother. *smattering of applause* ~Your Backup
The only things wrong were a couple of typos and maybe should add quotation marks to some parts. I could see a woman standing, crying with a baby in her arms while a bullet slowly comes toward them. the last stanza also has a good meaning. good job
kevvy, wow, this is way different form what u write, it made me think of one of thiose concentration camps. wow, this was really diffreent. i was just so suprised that u can have such insight to a mothers love. great job
