Description: home is probably one of the first happy sounding poems ive wrote. but to me its not happy because its reminding me that i have to spend more time away from the place and people i love most. (19 more days an counting)
you never know how much the people closest to you mean, until one day you have none of them and you find yourself in a cold world with no feeling. that is when you will know how much home means to you.
Home -------------------------------------------
A place called home
Where my heart will always be.
A place called home
Where there`s always love for me.
I can go anywhere,
Physically be any place;
But i long for home
Where love won`t erase.
Home is a place where flowers bloom
And morning bids sing.
Where the sun warms the hearts
Of every living thing.
Home is a place where the moon shines bright
And the fireflies glow.
Where the stars burn deep
And where my feet will go.
Home is a place
Where Pumpkin pie tastes best.
Home is the only place
I feel at rest.
i can relate because i was going thru a lot of hell during the past 5 years escaping from reality and the such until finally 5 months ago i found the love for my father again i moved in with him and have never been happier keep writing your style is refreshing and true
it's so simply written, and that's why it invokes so much emotion. this is a good write, however i just sometimes feel that the "flowers bloom and birds sing" line is overused.
This was a really warm and heartfelt write! The rhyming really worked in this and made it sound really great...i've been reading a lot where it sounds so absolutely forced it's horrible. This is not one of those however. It's great that you see home as a place of refuge as opposed to a place that is consumed with misery. That in it's self is very refreshing! Great write and thanks for sharing! Candi
I couldn't have said it better myself. When I first moved away it was like half of me was still back at home.. I missed it so bad.. and still do at times. A very nice write. Has me wanting to go back home for a visit. Good luck with your dancing. I like your quote on your page.
Very bold write! I love the emotion in this poem and how you've described exactly how people percieve a home to be. Gosh, now I feel all happy inside! Anywho, nice write and I hope to hear more poems from you! Take care, ~steph
This was a warm, loving poem about your family and how much they mean to you. I have had this strong longings often called "homesick" when i was a child and even when I was in boot camp - the opposite of home to me! This was simple and straight forward and created the emotions you expressed. the rhyming was also natural.
This was sweet. And yes it is simply written which just adds to the home sort of theme. It evokes memories and emotions for me, thought that in some places the flow was a bit off, might want to take a look at that but otherwise this was a sweet heartfelt piece Laura-Grace
Nice tribute to home. The small details in the piece make it more heart-warming. The flow got sort of choppy after the first couple of stanzas but it does not take away from the written words on the paper. Nicely done...
