    Description:
In my youth it seemed so sad to make love indoors. I loved the woods and fields. Now I am older and have given up my youthful past time. Also it is harder to find enough forest, but I still remember.

You lie with me in the forest deep
    In the sun dappled shade.
Moss is a soft green cushion,
And violets are sprinkled on our bed.

Our skin, green with crushed flora,
Is covered with leaves and sticks.
We laugh and groom each other,
    And then lie down again.

    The musky leaf mould smell
    Mingles with our sweat.
    Toadstool, mushroom, fungi funk
    Mirrors the smell of sex.

    We lie side by side
And watch the sun through the trees.
The breeze blows across our skin,
And gives blessing to our bodies.

This is a very enjoyable poem. Sounds like you had a very special place amongst the trees when you were younger! haha! This poem is nicely written with great descriptive qualities. It is sensual and erotic yet very tasteful and romantic. It is wonderful to sit and reflect on memories from years ago. You have captured a very special memory not only in your mind, but also with your words in this lovely poem. Very nicely written. Take care.

Oh, this is so erotic and sensual! The smells melding together really pulls this all together. I feel a bit like a voyeur, peeking in on your love-making... I happen to be a fan of making love in the great outdoors, breathing in the beauty of nature and each other.

    Thanks for sharing!

Hmm.. I have to say I did enjoy this poem I really felt where you were coming from
And it all kinda unraveled itself to me like a story it was a good read no real errors any where and I completely understood the situation.

An absolutely first class example of a SHINRIN YOKU poem, adding your own musk to the fragrance of the forest. After all if you go forest air bathing, you have to be naked, right? I'm not quite sure what fungi funk is, unless it's something that smells like and rhymes with saprophytic spunk. No wonder you came back from your forest walks with a healthy glow to your cheeks.

Seems sometimes I can remember more about my youth than I can what happened yesterday, but it is always nice to turn back the pages in your mind and relive some happy memories.
You done good here Sis and I enjoyed the read.
Just one thing though, when I was young it didn't matter to me, indoors, outdoors or anywhere else, but then I'm a nympho anyway so...you get the picture.

I just love this. You have managed to make me smell the forest, hear all the cracking twigs and rustling of the leaf litter, and feel the warmth of the sun and the cooling breeze . ... all this and passion too... wonderful! I am no expert on shinrin yoku but you have certainly written quite beautifully of the magic of the forest. I had to grin when reading Arthur's comment about saprophytes ... I interpreted this as comparing the musky smell of fungi with the musky pheremones of sex which fits very well. sigh! This poem made me feel young again and that can't be bad. Thanks. J

Well I am sure the faeries were watching you, and the recollection of this is superb. Wonderful images and tight language, Lynn, this is great work. I admire how you paint the scene with the subjects in it, as though the entire loving happened and we just arrived to peek in. Funky forest, so funny!

Oh yeah, maybe we are the faeries looking on? I love that idea, it's good to read your work. Beautiful!
    peace and love,
    Nan
