Wow. Thats so pretty, but the last line made me cry. I don't even know what to say. I feel the same way about summer. I really do like this one a lot. The wording is awesome. Well, I'm still kind of speechless, so instead of forcing a longer comment, I'm just gonna say wow. I love it.
You have a heap of contradictions here, I'm still deciding what you're really writing about. I don't really get it if it's just about the change of season, I see a change of something else underneath, hence the last line.
"Heat" was used twice - maybe the arguments that seem to occur at the end of a relationship?
Oh, I love summer! I am a..what do they call it? Sunshine baby. I don't like the nippy chill of the winter, but instead prefer the warm breeze of the summer. But we all have our preferances. This was interesting, and you're right...very different from what you usually do. Hey, variety is nice! ~Kat
I am commenting on this one because I can't bring myself to comment on any of the other ones I have read. I never feel as if my comments are worth a damn...but hey, I said I'd comment, so I am commenting.
The Summer usually signifies a period of relief (If you are in school) but for some reason, I can't stand it. I mean I hate school, I can't handle the all around stupidity of people. I'm not talking immature, I'm talking the whole close-minded, pig-headed, hypicritical, "Know-it-alls" of society...but I guess that has nothing to do with your poem...I'm rambling, sorry, I do that. I think I'll stop now before I go into too much detail about how much I dislike society...if you really want to know my view you can ask...that seems to be the smarter thing for me to say. Shiiiiiii...I'm rambling again.
wow...this is totally different..ususallky im used to hearing "Fukk yUO" [censored] comin outa ur pen...but summer...youchin and tears to your eyes...hmm..i guess ill accept...only cuz ur like...awesum...this poem was interestingly kool!
This certainly was something a tad bit off your usual flare - but just more icing on that big ole cake of talent you are full of.
The second stanza hit me, especially since this weekend was a like the "last fling of spring" for me...but I too anticipate the cool winds of Fall and as much as I hate to shovel it...can't wait for the snow... Excellent as usual Lisa
