it's funny how people pretend to care. like friends you leave in another state.

erupt me into your dream

drop the bomb into my lap
so i can explode and warm my soul
with blood dripping from veins
split from my body and left hanging
down my side and onto your lips
when the words escaped so cleverly
of how you know you never loved me
friendships exhausted into nothing but fumes
from memories
when you said,
you know you said,
we were something special
another lullaby made into lies
to comfort our broken hearts
pretending like best friends
really meant
best friends forever
naive i fell for it every time
and you know you loved
letting me go
thinking you know me so well
all that's left are
little kid questions
when will everything be alright like you promised?
oh, i promised
and i swear
soon enough everything will fade into the mourning
and all of this will be dust
time set to explode
before we can breathe goodbye.

I'd like to say I like this, because it's obviously important to you... but I don't. ALL of your metaphors were trite. This is too teen-ish, and your ideas lack originality; your writing just lacks flow, rhythm, or style. I'm sorry, but you need to start reading more books.

another lullaby made into liesto comfort our broken hearts... the person that commented earlier was someone who just did not understand your metaphoers, or the pain behind them. this particular line i especially enjoyed. people often say what they feel is wanted to hear to make you believe their lies and never think about following through with them. offering sweet false lullabies, that turn into lies to comfort a broken soul, the intention in ytour words is real and I think this peom is great!

I hate losing friends, but it's usually a realization of who really cares, even the most wonderful or popular people in th end can only count on one or two hands the peple in their entire lives who truly, truly! cared for them. Cheer up, I'm not going anywhere :-)
