Its funny how grieve comes in waves
The numbness departs to leave only anger.
It never really goes away though .
It just morphs into something new.
The trees turn an ugly brown .
    The beaches close.
    People stroll by humming .
The world spins on its flimsy axel .
    Still you die inside.
With the questions comes an odd strength.
A callus forms between you and the truly living.
You stumble through the rest of the living time.
    Waiting for the reunion .

I agree ! It created lots of imagery and that does it for me. I really liked the way you handled this and the flow was good and it hung together really well.

i love this. The imagery was great. It was very distant. It really helped the whole feel of the poem. I really wish it was longer. Some lines were alittle long and it messed up the flow but the theme and imagery was great. I really did love it.
