Estaban loved the smell of polishing oil, especially when he was using it to polish his knife and dagger collection. He had amassed a nice tidy little set from almost every planet and species in the Quadrant. And when he was done with the known worlds, he planned to move on to the Beta Quadrant. It was expensive, but as he inspected the shiny dirk in his hand, he realized it was worth it.
Smiling, Estaban placed the weapon back on the wall with his other newly polished weapons before heading out. It had been hours since Tempest's "visit" to his quarters and he was starting to get bored. He knew better than to expect a round two with Tempest, she was more of a hit and run kinda girl, but he still couldn't help seeking her out.
As he climbed the ladder from the lower deck to the upper deck, he heard voices coming from the cockpit. Estaban walked into the room and saw Drake, Tempest and the new blonde shapeshifter all talking, or at least Tempest was talking.
"You giving out orders, Captain?" the Latin scout asked as he pulled around a chair and sat in it. "What are your orders for me?"
"You and I will be headed into Carson City, for some business," Tempest said eyeing the scout.
"Nevada? Why the hell are we going to desert town?" Estaban asked knowing he wasn't going to like the answer. Nevada was a hell hole in the middle of nothing.
"Mojo Green," Tempest said and Estaban sighed.
Mojo Green he thought. That damned wannabe gangster was nothing but trouble. He didn't know why Tempest insisted on using him as a contact person for jobs. The jobs he gave them only half worked out, and the other half, well...They had been left holding more than just the bag.
Tempest turned and walked past Estaban without saying anything to him, even though he clearly signalled to her that he wanted to talk about this Mojo Green thing. Frustrated and angry that she had ignored him, Estaban turned and spied both Drake and the shapeshifter.
"When we get to Earth, let me know," he said to Drake who was still sitting in the pilot's seat. "I gotta go talk some sense into that mujer."
The silence that followed was broken by Haruko's outbust of laughter as the lowered you police issue blaster. Once she regained composure she started in "We'll when Mamimi said that she found the source of the sensor's glitch I thought it was just an error. I when came in and saw ya. Well.. you."
"Startled me." Mamimi finshed.
"Yeah." Haruko added.
"We appologize for any inconvience that we might have caused you." they both said in unison. "It's not every day that an electronc ghost turns out to be a stowaway."
"But anyways since you are here. Welcome aboard." Hauko steped towards Holly. Holstering her Desert Eagle Maruder a rather large and intimidating piece.
Mamimi stood there slightly dumbfounded by it all and waited momentarly for it all to sink in. Her mouth formed a perfect o as she finaly realized what Holly was saying.
"Funny isn't it. how people prioritize things. But enough of that nonsense."
"We fixed the security grid." Mamimi jumped up and down excitedly.
"Yes we did." Haruko agreed "and since you're here we wanted you to be the first to try out our new security cards. These new cards are part of the new upgrades we made to this ship."
"So people like Rammer could be deep spaced if the Captain wants." Mamimi chimed in.
"Exactly." Haruko nodded.
"I guess I could try out your new security card" Holy Star said. "But I would like to let Meria know I'm safe first. She might be worried about me."
"Haruko," Meria's voice came over the comm system. "I need your assistance on the bridge. We have a missing person on the ship."
"I'm right here, Meria." Holy said.
"Holy! What are you doing in the twin's cabin?" Meria asked.
"I'm not really sure to be honest with you." Holy Star said glancing at the twins. "I think they saw me on the sensors and didn't know what I was, so they beamed me over to find out."
"Okay, good." Meria paused. Holy could hear Meria talking to someone on the bridge. "We'll be docking in fifteen minutes. Get yourself ready to go."
The comm clicked off, Haruko grinned ~15 minutes, geeze that hardly gives me any time to fine tune the Odessa.~ She grinned nervously.
"Say Hollysan, make sure that this card stays with ya at all time. We are testing our new security system. Since resorces are very scare on this ship. Any intruder can cost us greatly. Our new system will isolate the intruder using an internal contaiment shield, eavacutate the air. Since matter canot be created or destroyed. The system then simply recycles the intruder into something reuseable by the replicators or the ship's onboard cyclick regenerator. Such as air, food and other replicated products. You know what they say waste not want not." Haruko said pulling close to Holly and in some what of a hushed tone gently hissed this into her ear.
"Replicator food is people?" Mamimi interupted exitedly. Something as tramatic as eating meat would be bad enough. But people now that she could not deal with. She ran out of the room.
Haruko shuddered in short convustions as Mamimi attempted to dry heve. Purging her mind of the thought of a meat dinner.
"Replicator food is people!" Mamimi's voice trailed from the back room as the sound of water running in the sink
Haruko stood up and fought off the senation of her twin's gag reflex. She smiled weakly.
