This town is to small to be this big.
It was two streets once when I was a child.
The dirt roads got paved though and the street lights went up .
And I got lost n the money ,I forgot to ask where it came from .
I walked past the strange cars in the driveway ,ignored the long business trips.
We went to the shooting range it was fun , the safes got fuller.
You took the keys to my trunk .
Somewhere along the way you lost me even I cant quite be sure when .
You where so gentle as I packed my things so perfectly fine.
I was so afraid , where did I pay the phone bill? What is an automatic draft ?
You called every night , sent money , flowers, gifts .
I got a little job which killed you but you let it be .
I turned onto my quite street and the reporters bombarded me .
I Held my hands over my face, as there question pelted me.
    Are you surprised?
    I didn’t know, I couldn’t answer .
I was born here 22 years ago .
And I helped ruin it ,
That night I packed up all the shoes , the rings ,the cloths ,and burnt them every last one
I moved and dyed my hair , I still get asked once in a while ,aren’t you ……I answer yes
    I married a murderer .

Be kind, take a few minutes to review the hard work of others <3
It means a lot to them, as it does to you.
