Description: Rant which i want to know if people agree or not any comments will be accepted its more like a discussion type of thing... thank you
Be you -------------------------------------------
Now some people try to act like they are someone else. I dont get it though. Wasn't the person they are trying to be like original and unconventional... I mean I just wonder why do I see so many people act like an artist, or a movie actor when those people got there by being themselves... Its not right that after all the pressures people go through in school they also have to go through their peers who rags on them just beacuse they dont have the 50 dollar shirt or the 300 dollar shoes on... All that is superficial... people dont realize that... it dont matter that you have those things if inside you still dont feel like you are like what your outside appearance says... I mean seriously its time to let all that go... If you want to be known by somebody then be yourself... beacuse it wont matter how many friends you had you'll know they didn't care about the real you... but just the surface that you let them see
This rant is very good and carries so much truth to it! I, personally, dont like superficial people. Superficiality is a huge turn off and reminds me a lot of the poem I wrote, and I believe you read that one. I believe that the quality of a person is so much more important than what is on the surface or how well they dress. I surround myself with people who have depth and who seek out depth in people too. I like this rant you have here! Who cares what others think because if you cant be true to yourself than who can you be true to? Very well stated! Take care!
Complete and utter truth...absolute wisdom... Your words pierce to the core of everything that is wrong with society these days. Materialism has become a dark king, the shadowy driving-force behind man's every action. Lust for money is an intense passion that twists the mind and perverts the actions. The $50 shirts and $300 shoes are not the worst of it. The worst is those that know what they sell kills, yet seduced by money they go ahead and do it anyway. The saddest is those that know they are slowly killing themselves, and so wish to take others along with them. This is the painful world of drugs, cigarettes alcohol, free sex and the peer pressure that goes along with it. Who wants to die alone? Much better to die surrounded by your dying friends...No? And so they'll encourage you... "Just one sip!" "A puff won't hurt you " "Babe, you know I love you, I'll never leave.."
And where are you nine months later? Vomiting drunkenly in a gutter, shaking madly from withdrawal, rubbing your swollen belly, tomorrow's delivery day...? Or may be you took that one sip, one puff...then walked away from it all and didn't look back... Lucky.
this is so true. i mean...im not the best looking thing in the world but i still have all these good friends. im not the skinnest either but i dont get ragged on or made fun of by my friends. i have no money really either which means like u said i cant have that $50 shirt or $300 shoes...its true.
i completly agree with you on so many levels, like the peole who pretend to be goth, or skarter, all those posers, don't realize that oif these people only like you becauseof how you act, they arn't true friends. I know i am always just how i am, i say what i am thinking, i'm loud and i like to be different, and my friends realize and repect that. and they like me for me not for who i'm acting like.
this is so true there are so many posers out there it isn't funny i work so hard for my goals i wouldn't want someone to copy me. i may have be only 14 but that doesn't matter i have goals and i wouldn't want some slacker making it rich off of my hard work good point. peace becka
Society certainly makes us think we should be more than who we truly are - if you realize the importance of being you and unique at a young age I believe you are at an advantage. I encourage my son to be himself and not so much into what other's think or want him to do/be. This brings up some good points and with models/actors/etc. people are only seeing a public persona and it's not really the real person so you are right, to emulate that is not always right. Good thoughts and thanks for making us think! Love,Peace,Joy! tif ; )
