The Wisdom of a 12 year old dots

I met this 12 year old girl
who said to me
that she had realized
a few years back
that God is her only true friend
for he is always there
the creator of all

so that got me thinking
a girl so young has already realized the truth
so why cant I and the rest of the world
be equally as wise?

  Little kids tend to be smart if you lend them an ear. They are normally just disregarded because of their inexprience. They watch everything and tend to more intelligent then what we give them credit for.

  Good poem...good question at the end...I think that the most innocent and niave I guess are the wisest among us...well except those that are just born to have a sh*tty life and become wise from their experiences...you know long beard pipe in hand fellas.

  Hey. I think this poem is really cool because i'm 12,and of course that influences my thoughts about this piece a lot. I also believe in God.I also like the point it gets across I mean young a girl can believe in God without even considering doubting it, but someone who has witnessed,heard , and read about things God has done and they still can't believe. It shows what this world is coming to.Great Piece. Keep writing.

  This is a very thought provoking poem. This young lady is so very smart and has a strong faith. I guess this one really all depends on how you are raised. She must come from a religious family who raised her this way. At twelve years old, she would be too young to have found her faith because of some life trauma so I must believe this is how she was taught. I will admit though that it is a lovely belief to have. I have questioned my faith in my life, when so many bad things happen and you truly feel all alone in the world, it is hard not to question sometimes. Having a strong faith seems to help people get through the hard times without question because they have their beliefs which give them hope. I am not sure where I stand as far as how strong my faith is in God, but I still do believe. This girl has a wonderful outlook and many people could benefit from what she has said. Very nicely written and expressed. Take care.

  ok im not sure weather this is a poem but...w/e its kinda cool i guess...but like hell i can say "jesus can be my best friend because he will always love me.." i mean cmon im jewish...lol ...well sorta i choose to be no relijon but my family is jewish...barely...lol..

over all 7/10

  I believe what this girl says is true. God is the only friend who is there when you have nothing left. God's name is Jehovah. He will never permanently abandon His servant. Jehovah is not a God who shames his faithful servants; he is no promise breaker. Rather, he is a God of truth and a rewarder of those earnestly putting trust in him. In the end, faith will be rewarded! Escape will come! Do not take God lightly and do not ignore him. He is there for us, he is there for YOU. If ever things go bad, call out to him. Pray to him. Put your faith in him and he will give you the strength.

That little girl is quite wise.

  Yay...12-year-olds rock! I'm one too. I dun quite agree that God is her true friend... Cuz he's always there? Then air...water...blood... they're always there... I'm sorry but can you explain this to me?

  human nature prohibits us from that.i cannot stand make believe friends.therfore i have none really.i have many people that think they are,but when my one true friend left me after she promised she never would,i realized the same as the 12 year ols
