    Your Recipe For Life

    The Days and ways

    They have gone astray

And lead us all to what we are today

    The memories we have

    Of our childhood days

Those wonderful days we never thought they would end

Memories, those flashes in the past

That makes us who we are today

    Those memories we hold

    Of loved ones

    Of times

    Of precious items

    We remember and smile

    We remember and cry

And sometimes we remember and die

Feelings die and others are born

Some are patched up others are still torn

The future will always be ahead

Tomorrow will never have a rest

    Something new will always happen

And one day it will belong to the past

And again we will look back and remember

Those days we thought were forever

    Our dreams

    Our hopes

    Our fears

    Our tears

Those buildings we built so high in the clouds

And they all come tumbling down

And we build again over the sand

And then again the waves wash them away

And we still never give up and try

We are all created to survive

    To live,

    To think,

    And the end,

    We will die

    And again what remains

    Are memories

And in the end I will ask you

    Do you love yourself?

    Do you cherish your memories?

    Do you face your fears?

Do you try to make your dreams come true?

Do you think one day you will be true?

My advice is really quite simple,

Think of the answer and keep it to yourself

Live your life and build up yourself

Choose who you want to be

    And be true to yourself

And in the end this will be your recipe

Of a bowl of memories, dreams and future

Cooked on the heat of life

    And spiced with experience

And in the end this is your delicious or tasteless Life

    This is simply it

    Your own recipe

    Your recipe for life

This poem really hit me. I love it. It's very sturdy advice ontop of being a well written piece of poetry. I love the metaphor to cooking you use.
