       Being a captive audience to ignorance can be an edifying experience, but one that I would wish on no one, especially myself. Forever, history proves that pain must be a cherished companion or we wouldn't give it so many invitations to entertain us.

    While my antagonist rants;
    hindsight elucidates;
    in the wings, wisdom shrugs—
    as pain's web expands.

    Like a syncopated clock,
    that chimes acrimoniously,
    reproach comes down
    in three part harmony.

    Lessons once learned,
    repeated ad nauseum,
    only a masochistic fool
    would venture there again.

    Such is the fated plight
    of the egotistic innocent,
    when sentiment rules
    the fragile nous of reason.

      Yeah well... the human being is a funny creature. We do the dumbest of wise gestures when it comes to matters of life and actual existence.

    "Hindsight elucidates,
    as an antagonist rants,
    leaving wisdom to shrug—
    the web of pain expands."

    These lines remind me of how easy it is to render ones ears useless when one is backed in a corner and how sharp it is with regards to listening to implicit thoughts in between each lines.

    "I (a rich needy [censored]) need (want, crave and ultimately feel as though I can't live without) you (a beggar who doesn't have the things I do and would gladly tell me how pretty my hair is.)

    This reminds me of an article I once read about people feeling that it is their right to be ignorant because they are either afraid or just... close-minded. Like I said... it is easy to render the ears useless.

    Good job.
