    dotsKissing the Treesdots
    -------------------------------------------

    We find ourselves
    kissing the trees
    in our naivete.

    Slow, beautiful, night-time
    laugh-yourself-to-sleep kisses
    which serve as lessons
    for the times when
    the kisses become necessary
and the trees themselves become mere backdrops.

I, bold, take the oak for a mad, gone
    ride through the park
and we reminisce about Beatniks and
    who-cares-who-needs-them-last-times before
tasting each other in a shower of pine needles.

I really enjoyed the way you put this poem together. Using an almost nonsensical feeling you very perfectly captured the essence of the poem. Although the end almost hints towards dendrophilia ;) j/k. Thank you for sharing this beautiful piece with us.
