Description:

FOUR DECADES AND A HALF AGO

Four decades and a half ago,
Still we toddle in shamelessness.
How long wil this abnormality
Be diagnosed for a remedy?
Imperialism with it's memories horrific
Gone like a whistle.
Yet, the blueprint of its relics
In our genes is imbedded like DNA.
Maybe we should have made it stay;
Cos' sooner than its' supposed obliteration
Is oppresive dominance disgorged from her abyss.
I wonder what man will pride himself matured
Who reaches at gray hair, the age of puberty...

Four decades and a half ago,
yet, all we could boast of are self-glorified
Rulers; who with the speed of light
Fly us to our demise of self-destructiveness.
Oh, how these realities anoints
With grief my thoughts,
And my anger resurrects.
Still, the day of reckoning in no way slumbers...
