Perhaps (and this is just a maybe) you're a little jaded in your view. Maybe. I'm a high school student. And so I'm taught things as you might expect. Things that are accepted as fact in America and most of the world for that matter. So, maybe it's just me, but aren't the "Big Bang" and "Creationist" theories, just theories? There's no undeniable, scientific proof for either. And yet nearly every day I am "preached" at by my biology teacher about the "theory of evolution" and the "big bang theory" as though they were each fact. But, in reality, there's no undeniable, scientific proof for them. And I don't know who it was that "preached" to you or what their "sermon" was about, but maybe you could look at the whole spectrum. I see nothing wrong with the rant as a whole. The only thing I have a problem with is the last line. because there are some crazy christians that'll just accost random people and tell them they're going to hell. which is stupid. So I agree with you, if they force your opinion out of you and are offended by it, maybe they should be shot in the head.
BUT, the whole preaching part. If you're gonna get angry at them preaching to you, why would you let it slide when your science teachers do it? Or when any teacher does it, for that matter. Or person (I don't even know if you go to school). Because you can't really take anything for undeniable, scientific proof that that you yourself haven't undeniably scientifically proved. I can't prove God exists but you can't prove he/she/it doesn't. You can't prove evolution exists but I can't prove it doesn't. Just because scientists say so doesn't mean it's undeniable, scientific proof. If you read it out of a book, chances are it's been copied from another book.
I guess, what i'm trying to say is don't get angry at someone who tells your their beliefs expecting you to believe them. Because it happens more often in mainstream culture than you would think.
FINALLY..oh and yes i've converted my religion... but to those who want to...damn me to hell so to speak ( i don't believe in hell) leave me the [censored] alone. Anyways i loved it haha finally something to show the people who want to re convert me to christianity. but yea i liked it. Much Support, Danni
This is a good rant. I feel it definitely says what you intend to say and speaks a loud and clear message. I can appreciate your viewpoint and feelings that you express here and it sounds to me like you would rather not have someone comment then for them to give you their insight. I mean, people are sensitive to things and if you say something that you feel, they will respond and say what they feel. And if you insult them, in all probability they will want to insult you back...human nature. I do feel that the very last line of this is not needed. You have expressed your feelings very clearly and the last line just takes away from the overall message here. I mean people are gonna feel whatever they want and say whatever they want regardless of scientific proof. Good expression with this. Take care.
