Fall a colorful season.
Leaves of red and green
yellow and brown,
covering the ground.
Nature’s blanket,
of many talents.
Showing its beauty
to all, big and small.
Furry little animals
scurrying around,
filling their cheeks with
what they can find.
Storing for the winter,
preparing their family
for the season ahead.
Gardens with no more to give.
Resting for the rebirth in the spring.
Orange and white pumpkins
waiting to be carried in.
Wind blowing its cool breeze.
Warning us all of that’s coming.
Trees dropping its fruit,
readying for the next page
of Natures book.
V of birds flying over,
wings waving good-bye.
.
Days are shorter.
Nights are longer.
Moon and stars brighter.
Frost sneaking in,
covering all that is warm.
Melting as the sun awakens.
Fall is Natures plan,
getting all to ready,
for the cold and wild winter
about to be born.
