Heavy eyes peek through the light inside
Innocence is portrayed through the baby’s cries
Allowed to scream, be completely cared for, hold on to the warmth of a mothers kiss deep inside the littlest of hearts,
Time will pass and the cries will continue
The pain will grow like the flowers in the spring
Uncertainty will stain the life of the unloved
As the flowers wither away,
Crazy with the thought of forgiveness only the wind can blow it away
Singing birds stop to stare and fly away into the fading sun,
No-one knows the burden of being in the middle
Expectations exceed the possibilities beyond the horizon
Fear continues to grow
The flowers continue to pass
As the days drift through the mistakes of the unloved
On to the babies cries
And the warmth of the mothers kiss.
I must say it is easy to tell you were deep in thought while you wrote this. I am impressed by the way it is worded, slightly confused by what it means though. Not that it matters, the author of the poem is the only one who knows the true meaning. If I had to assume it is about the comfort of life fading into the reality of fear. Is that accurate, or at least close?
