The anticipation almost makes the wait worth while Day after day without seeing your smile is heartbreaking in itself A connection still strong throughout the miles that separate me and my mother A mind reader who overlooks me through her heart, Truly the essence of not only a friend but a soul mate My confidence stems from the kindness that she shows I am able to do anything because I know that she believes in me And will stand by my side through the cloudiest of days, For I know that when she’s near the clouds will make way For the rainbow that is bound to come, When I’m next to one of the most amazing people I have ever met I truly feel safe I truly feel like I am in the presence of an angel For she possesses a special trait that is indescribable A trait that can only be possessed by the most special of God’s creations, Decisions have been argued in the past And my path to where I am today at times has been rocky But that path would have taken a drastic turn for the worse If I did not have a special navigator there every step of the way, I know it might seem like the little things go unnoticed But those little things that she does hold a very special place within my heart, She has taught me how to live, love, and laugh And without her I would not be where I am today, Even though I can not always see her I know my angel is looking over me wherever she may be And I know that she will continue to do so no matter what, I am forever grateful and forever in debt to one of the most amazing people alive My Mother
