    -------------------------------------------

I thought I could, just say goodbye.
    And walk away.
I didn't want to hear, what you had to say.
    Because,
I knew it would, make me cry.
    But,
I listened to the pain in your voice,
when you told me you loved me,
and asked me, not to make this choice.
    So I told you,
    we'd give it another try.
    Although,
I still wish, I could just say goodbye.

... you never know what you have until it is gone ... sometimes its best just not to let it go...because once you do things wont be the same

short and to the point, liked the use of staight forward verbage, gave the poem a strong voice.

"i listened to the pain in your voice" - nice
