This is a well written poem. It is an inspiring read and it would seem to me that the treasure was realizing how rich you are to enjoy nature and all that it has to offer in the company of good friends. Your journey together created memories that you will hold close to your heart forever and that is truly priceless. I love to take a walk through the woods and near the water with people I care about. Just talking and spending time together enjoying the time and the beauty of the scenery. I dunno if I got your interpretation right, but this is what it means to me. And again, this is a great poem. Very nicely written! Take care!
I got that the treasure they thought was gold was actually friendship. -HaldirLives P.S. It could be just me, but as I was reading it I saw about a hundred parallels to Lord of the Rings. Were they intentional? Probably not, but hey.
this is a good poem. an interesting meaning to it all, if I got it correctly that is. That these people were searching for the treasure of the elves, gold I am guessing. But by looking for it they found that the forest was that treasure. That is what I got from it, but there is a really good chance I am wrong.
well, im just ganna keep talking like i'm right
I love nature & I think that its beauty is beyond any treasure you could ever have. well I hope that I didnt get it too wrong & if I did it wasnt because of your writting, I am just not good at depicting the writters meaning. thank you for the very enjoyable read. Take care ~jennifer
Ok, you pretty much got it, even the friendship part (although, when I wrote it I wanted that treasure to be the elven nature and their forest in the harmony thay left it, but I guess that the travellers' friendship could also pass :) ) ... and yes, there are some parallels, but not a hundred ;) thank you all 4 commenting
