    dotsWhat Could Not Bedots
    -------------------------------------------

As she turned and seen him watching her
Her heart skipped a bit or two
She had not seen him for quite awhile
He is telling her she is still a pretty gal
She says, Well thank you kind sir
Feeling as a magnet drawn to him
She starts to mingle among the crowd
Trying to fit in and be one of them
Filling her glass, she had a few
Feeling kind of fuzzing, not knowing what to do
The music was getting pretty loud
She grabs her purse and goes to leave
He steps up behind her, asking her to dance
Her heart beats fast hardly able to breath
All he is asking is one night of romance
She starts to cry, he drys her eyes
Telling her he will be by her side
Will not ask for more, just to be her friend
Both of them fighting deeper feelings within
For she was promised to another
And he did not want to just be another bother
From each other they could not stay
So still are friends to this very day

One thing I'll give to wild parties and loud music they always seem to help people connect, even strangers can find a comfort zone. Yes, filling the glass sometimes breaks the barrier as well, but the FUZZY feelings will never stay in line with reason. They seem to tell lies whenever its tipsy time. Love is best left to the strong at heart instead of the strongly drunk.
I think we need another wild party, how about you?
Very cute, but does it still hurt when you think of him?
    Hahahahaaa!

      I really liked this write
It shows someone the man who saw the inner beauty of a woman and when he saw that he couldnt be her soulmate
He sided with becoming best friends instead
This is a very powerful message
    To me
    Friends and Family
are actually the most important relationship of all
They help us to grow and become better people preparing us for our journey that still lies ahead

I Hope and Pray that this thanksgiving is the best one you ever had
You and your Family deserve it
    Happy Thanksgiving
And may God keep you close
    Take Care

I really liked this one it was very true for me and many others as well. Fate has a way of letting you see the truth that you never seen before. And as for love well it is a hard emotion to control and often times we do not control it vey well bt in this ead it was controled with great care.

I agree with all of the above. I have been there and I felt the emotion in me as my mind wound it's way back to four years ago.

This was very compelling and certainly left an impression on me.

The sweetest love is such a love
    That is highest by degree
The sweetest love is such a love
    That can never ever be

Sometimes love has to be unrequited but it doesn't lessen the feeling and to have an eternal friend is just as well sometimes!
    Beautiful, descriptive piece!

This is a good poem! I really like the story you tell with your words in this one. A love from the past, not seen in a while, but yet the feelings that were once shared were never really lost. And now they come face to face again and he shows her his interest. She is nervous and somewhat excited by this but knowing she is committed to another she makes a noble and respectable decision to decline. Must have been a hard decision for the both of them to refrain as the words here indicate they both still had an attraction. But how wonderful the ending is to know that this encounter rekindled not romance but a long standing friendship. It is always a blessing when two people who were once intimate can just be friends. This is very touching and well written! Take care!

Those special romantic times that grip at our heart and keep us in that moment forever. Meeting up again with someone who has a piece of your heart.. and realizing those feelings are still there.
The good part about this is.. although they both know they can no longer "be".. the friendship still remains.
