I was just thinking of how much of a pain writers

    Writer's Block
Sometimes I can close my eyes
    Pictures that are deep inside
    Pour out through my pen

    Stories of my troubles
    Problems that persist
Things that haunt me in my sleep
That only I know are there

Other times I want to write
    But nothing comes to mind
    I think and think
    But can not find
    The things that lurk inside
    Stay hidden for a while

    There i sit
    Like a stick
    Not knowing what to write
My thoughts will not come out

    So down goes my pen
    I sit in the den
    Stumped as stumped can be

    Until another day
    When i can say
    What's hidden inside of me

i couldn't remember to write down what i forgot, or did i forget to write down what i remembered...

oh well...yeah writer's block...best way out is to write our way through it by writing about it...

another one i like by you...fuzzy gets clear and the words finally come...i never try to force them....but i do write often about writer's block..it gets the juices flowing usually and breaks through the dam.

did you mean "problems that persist"?

    and last line
    "what's hidden inside of me"?

I loved this. It decribed what having writers block feels like so well. At first I kind of pictured the poem like mine sort of. I wrote about not being able to write. But yours added more to it. You expressed how it feels to not be able to bring out the thoughts inside of you. And of course, anybody who writes has probably exprerienced this before.

    Great work

i enjoyed this poem because there have been times in my life when i have felt exactly like this. You have potential to be writing like this at such a young age, you should keep it up.

this was very cool, and original (for me anyway) I never thought of writers block as a subject for verse. at the end I was thrown off when you say "when I can say", I would change that to write, if you can, I see your dilemma there. But this was really inventive.
When I want to create but can't I just observe others creations-music, movies, book, TV, and I have been getting into reading poems online.

It always comes out eventually ! A sound piece of self-reflection and self-realisation - well done.
Just write when you are ready and not because you feel you have to. That is the key !
