My mother sent me a book of Emerson & his words are timeless...just thought I'd share these words of wisdom...Love, Peace, Joy!!!

"A rhyme in one of our sonnets should not be less pleasing than the iterated nodes of a sea-shell, or the resembling difference of a group of flowers. the pairing of the birds is an idyl, not tedious as our idyls are; a tempest is a rough ode without falsehood or rant; a summer, with its harvest sown, reaped, and stored, is an epic song, suboridingating how may admirably executed parts. Why should not the symmetry and truth that modulate these, glide into our spirits, and we participate the invention of nature?
This insight, which expresses itself by what is called Imagaination, is a very high sort of seeing, which does not come by study, but by the intellect being where and what it sees, by sharing the path, or circuit of things through forms, and so making them translucid to others. The path of things is silent."

Amen...back then, here now; that's the beauty of what he's saying; we, as not just writers but prophets, have the compassion, love and communicative intuitiveness to tap into the same energy...His essays on several topics; art, poetry, friendship, politics are, as I said, timeless...thanks for reading & commenting ~ Emerson thanks u! Love, Peace, Joy!!!

Wow. I really had no idea the capacity emerson had. In a way he sounds like a analytic shakespeare. Thanks for displacing these shallow waters with the quotes of a great mind.
