WALKING IN THE COLDNESS OF THE HEART
    BEATING WITH EACH FOOTSTEP
    AS THOUGHTS COME INTO PLAY
LOOKING FOR THE HEAT OF A FIRE
JUST TO FIND A BRITTLE FLAME
    THAT TARES THROUGH MY SPIRIT
AS EACH DROP OF BLOOD SHATTERS
WHEN IT HITS THE BAR ROOM FLOOR
NO ONE NOTICES MY LIMP BODY NEXT TO
    THE EMPTY ASHTRAY
FRIENDS GATHER AS IN A WAKE
    YET NO ONE KNOWS ME
JUST ANOTHER PARTY TO GO TO
    SOON I WILL BE FORGOTTEN
LIKE THE WAST FLUSHED TO SOMEWHERE
WHAT COULD WE DO TO MEND A BROKEN DEATH
    LOOKING FOR A FLAME

Whoa, this a really deep poem! This is just so cool! I like the words that you used to describe this, and unfortunetly, this actually does happen, a lot. Very great way to describe it, I'm adding it to my favorites if you don't mind...of course you don't, lol. Great write, can't wait to see more.
