    Description:
All in the course of a vacation? I now know this was a very unusual vacation, more like a nightmare.
This is the second chapter, there will be two more chapters that will follow, done in short story free verse.
For those that are reading this, I hope you are enjoying and finding some things funny enough to laugh, as laughter is a great healer.
    God bless,
    Yvonne

    -------------------------------------------

With no idea, the horror had just begun.
Wasn't this suppose to be a month filled with great fun?
Freedom's day and my birthday, celebration; in reflection I sat very quiet.
Layered German Chocolate cake, sadly, not one bite did I eat, I was on a diet.

Had to find a way to forget about my birthday woe.
So, off I went; not knowing where I would go.
Decided to play with one of the dogs.
How much fun, think I will take him on a jog.

Biggest mistake, a leash on a hunting dog to place.
Opened the kennel door, in full charge ahead he did race.
Attached to the leash, I flew much too fast.
Could not see where I was headed, nor see what I had passed.

Palm down, arm extended straight, down to the ground.
CRACK, right arm broken, refused to admit, but I heard the sound.
To cast my arm? Claustrophobia, created quite a fright.
Prove I was not injured, played yard crochet, hit those balls with great might.

    TO BE CONTINUED

Oh my! lol. I think you would have been better off eating chocolate cake and letting the dog walk itself! The story is written tongue in cheek and I find it very amusing. I look forward to the next chapter.

Hee hee! This is certainly the vacation from hell. This second part of your vacation seems to be worse than the first! This is a good addition to your story. Very well written and indeed humorous although I imagine it wasnt so funny when it was experienced. haha! I must commend you for sticking to your diet despite it being your birthday, as you are stronger than I. If it were me, I would have eaten the cake! Your intentions were in the right place with the thoughts of exercise, but as we all know, the road to hell was paved with good intentions...now a broken arm? Geez! I cant imagine this getting much worse and at least I can rest assured that you survived as you are still here to write this most interesting poem. You have me curious to see what kind of nightmare the next part of this brings. Very well written and expressed this is. Take care.
