Hye everyone, not looking for any specific feedback. Mainly the connotation of the poem. this poem has a back story: I wrote this in memory of opening night of "The Lion the Witch and The Wardrobe", I was Tumnus, my best friend's favorite character. This friend is like my brother and I did everything I could to impress him, I wasn't good enough.

Good Enough

How much it hurts
to be denied his pride
to give it your all
and you're not good enough
for him

The rest of the world
may praise you to death
but none of it matters
unless he smiles his pride
but no, you're not good enough

You never will be
never be great
not like him
or anyone else
you're a failure

A failure
How the word stings
but it's truth
you know
because you'll never be good enough

why try
there's no point
might as well die
you'll never be good enough

Good way to try to get your feelings across but it seems a little fluffy, try to elaborate and I am sure you will have a nice poem here.
