    They say words can't hurt you but what if I told you I ran over your pet.

    They say words can't hurt you but what if I told you your brother was in the hospital about to die.

    They say word's can't hurt you.They lie.
    Words can hurt you.

      oh my...strong words. But true; all too true. I have been hurt by words, and have hurt people with them as well. Very to the point. I can't find anything that needs fixing or critiquing. This is one of those ones that if tempered with, will lose its meaning and will be terrible. Good job!

      first, i'd like to thank you for your comment on my work. and on yours, i think it's very good... very realistic actually, but it only feels like somethings lacking i just don't know what...

      This is so true. I can see what you want us to know. Yea, people go around saying, These words don't hurt me... they think they're strong but nobody can be so strong that they don't cry. With only words, they can bring you to tears.
    I thought words couldn't hurt me... but when somebody says, your relative is about to die, or just the simple It's Over.. hurts like hell.
    So yes, I agree. Even though this is a short and simple poem, it has a lot of meaning to it.

      Maybe you need to enhance the structure of poetry. Well the meaning is fine, usually normal people always think the wrong way and always tell lies. Good reminder.
