Memories, like snakeskins,
Flake away with slothy ease
And leave me wonting.
But, like summer's rose,
Your bloom is everlasting,
And I with all my wilting stems
Can look to yours
And yay, feel no regrets.
I really like this It is a beautiful short poem that can be read to anyone you love When I was reading it I thought of the Lord Very Beautiful Take Care Ron
Please if you get a chance please take a look at some of my writes and let me know what you think Thank You Ron
I think I can dig the feel of this, just a few things maybe...shouldn't it be "unlike" summers rose? since summer roses aren't really everlasting I just thought this would make more sense...wonting is wanting (not that big o' deal)...and what is the "yay" in the last line? maybe just an expression of joy? wasn't sure...just some opinions..
