dotsi gave in but i want it backdots

dont worry i wont take all the credit
theres enough blame for the both of us
    we were practically a team
    you yelled, i screamed
and people said we had problems
we just both knew what we wanted
i guess that was the beginning of the end
or maybe the end of the beginning
    all those damn fights
and neither of us was winning
obviously one of us had to wave the white flag
    so i did
    but you werent paying attention
    how characteristic
and eventually i got bored with it
so now im not giving in
    you can argue all day
    im tired of listening
maybe if you looked up youd notice
    im wearing headphones
now maybe if you look up
    youll notice im gone
    but ill keep in touch
    dont worry
    youve still got my cds
    so i will be calling
but not to talk things over
this is the end of that discussion

There is so much anger and hate in these words, but none of it is spelled out, which i love. You just have a way of using these almost simple words and making them string together into so much more...brilliant yet again. I hope someday i will have some criticism for you, but alas, you have yet to write a piece that needs it.

It means a lot to them, as it does to you.
