You can really say what you want, and tell me any advice on how to make it better. At the time of writing it, I was just bored and I thought of my sister, getting blamed for everything-even though it wasn't her fault. So...Iwrote this!

She stands there,
still in fright.
Around her neck,
the rope is tight.
The trapdoor opens,
down she goes.
The floor is inches,
beneath her toes.
She slowly swings
while people stare.
She isnt guilty,
but they don't care.

Reminds of my lil bro. He used to get blamed for everything that happened in the house. now, he gets blamed for everything that happens in the family. My aunt's sofa breaks...he did it. LOL. The silly thing is, he's only responsible for a quarter of all the things.
Anyway, well written poem. Short, to the point, and very effective. Makes me think I should help keep my bro out of trouble.....or not since he is a terror.
Well, hope to read more.

I can here some wild west gun fighter now as he struggles to mouth the words.
Yes, I probably even falsely accused my own children of all those things the 'ghost in the closet' did. Haha!
but seriously, you hasve nailed it right, sometimes even those innocent ones fall victum to the opinions of a few rather than looking deeper.
I do believe though it is rare, it does happen.
BUT; do we abolish penalties to save a few, when so many might be affected?
THAT, is a very hard wquestion to find the correct answer to!
Good writing, and a great thought provoking subject, and expressed so well in its images.
It also has such a good flow in each line, it is so easy to read, it rolls right off the lips. Thats fantastic too!

This one time, my sister put tape on the bottom of my cats feet, and he hopped out the window, and I got blamed for it! So you see, I can relate to this poem. Hee hee! Sometimes poems are better when they are tiny, and leave alot to the imagination. Ya know? Anyway, I enjoyed this bite size read. It really perked up my day!

This is great, short, to the point. Simplicity can be very good in poetry, and this is a perfect example. Great rhyme scheme, i have nothing to add here.
