    This is slow and sweet
    like candy half-hardened
    lying dormant on cookie sheets
    while the viscosity increases
    until you reach
for a piece of the homemade delight
    and slide it between
    your never-been-kissed lips
    containing naivete I wish
    I could preserve.

Nice write. I don't quite understand the metaphor between food and love (sex possibly?) but that's most certainly not your fault. Great emotion. Wonderful vocabulary in context.
    Wishing for more,

I loved it. The truth is a love food metaphors and I love candies.
The flow is good, itís neat little piece, exceeding limits of longing (passion) kind of poem.

moments, the ones you really remember on your lips long after your eyes have forgotten them, are like pearls on a string. the pearls we select like the experts do, finding some flaws in them to be acceptable, and always appreciating the luster and how the small spheres catch the last of the light in a crowded room. the pearls are strung onto the string and at the end of our lives, we have everlasting necklaces with which we can call ourselves beautiful when we wear them. one for our youth, one for our loves, one for failures that turned into lessons never forgotten.

your sweet confection is a lovely pearl. rather like the tea cups at Disneyland, swirling around the tea tray madly, but you never miss a thing in your dizzying spin around. what a full feeling this leaves in me. and fortunately, i can preserve this feeling. (so a fave). thanks for sharing this delicious treat.
