    dotsAnother November Nightdots

    Sitting in the car,
Winters cool darkness falls all around me ,
    And once again,
    Like so many times before,
I look over to see you at my side.

    You catch my gaze,
And for a second we search each others eyes.
    Each knowing the other remembers,
Yet both wrapped in the pretense,
    That no one does…

The warmth of those familiar arms around me,
Helps deplete the cold of a world I cant escape.
In each others arms once again,
    we both smile.

The brightness of that solitary smile
Brings light to the dark memories
Of a past that still lingers…
And at your long forgotten touch,
    My heart skips a beat.

I run my hand along your face slowly, softly…
As if upon my touch you will disappear,
Leave me with this memory …
Longing for the warmth that’s in your arms.

My eyes are filled with question,
    If not utter disbelief…as you
    Pull me closer
    Kiss me softly
    Whisper I love you

    Lost in your eyes,
I try to hide the need for you in mine…
Held captive by a single moment in time
And the memory of so many others.
I wonder why we can never work this out.

    If I love you
    And you love me
    Then why can’t we be?
    Why do you always leave…
When you know that all over again

    Another darkness… another November
That we will find our selves
    Looking into each others eyes
    Each knowing the other remembers,
    Yet wrapped in the pretense
    That no one does…

      This was interesting
I believe you were writing of a relationship that has faded away many times only to be brought back
    By Love
Love is a very hard word to say and a state that is also very hard to achieve
Try not to let this one get away
I can tell this relationship is important to you
    God Bless
Please if you get a chance take a look at some of my writes and let me know what you think
    Thank You

Wow...this was very emotion filled. I can relate sa lot to it. one of my passed boyfriends (which i still care about very much and i haven't dated him for over a year, plus i am with someone else now) was like this. We loved each other very much yet we broke up and stayed that way because he thought it was for the best. we moved on to other people but we still ask "what if" when ever we talk. Men like that need a swift kick in the ass to understand what they have before they lose the person they care most about. Some women are like that too...I think this was well done and i am going to vote it as a ^5^

@_@ Sad. I don't think I'm old enough to quite understand or want to understand that sort of relationship. But it was well written and pretty, although not the traditional sort of thing I'd read, certainly not far from greatness. :3
I don't honestly -know- what to say about it, critique wise. I hope my two cents will do, for now.

This had a very nice flow the only thing that didn't make much sense was the line 'when you know that all over again' sorry I didn't really understand what you were going at there. But its very well writen, it does not the ryhming meter to keep the piece together, and it takes you through a story plot . Great job keep it up!

Girl, I've had them kind of boyfriends. I use to call one Old Faithful because he we would get together when we he ditched his new girlfriends and rember they are not me...those was some crazy days. Okay back to you. lol. I love the way you take us through the getting back together ritual for us. I loved the simplicity, yet emotional depht of this. A very good flow. Good job. I hope you find a way to work things out for your self.

Be kind, take a few minutes to review the hard work of others <3
It means a lot to them, as it does to you.
