Alas I've known many with this way of life. This is just how I see it.

    There is no God
    But drugs come close.
    They make you feel good
    For a little while.
There are no rules but one,
    You can never stop
    Once youíve begun.
Oh, yes, I guess there are two.
    Your family comes last
    That is the rule.
I guess that maybe there are three
You must give up your honor
    And your liberty.
Now I remember rule number four,
    You canít go to work
    Cause drugs like you poor.
    But, you need money
To keep drugs in your life,
    So rule number five is
    You steal from your wife.
    Taking food from your children
    Is rule number six.
If you werenít feeling so good
    You would make yourself sick.

A sad, but excellent philosophical poem! Drug addiction is such a waste, and is so tragic. You have told a fine tale here, with a strong philisophical message.

I have a poem about addiction at my site titled "The Enchanted Sea" that you might enjoy!

I find your writes really good and enjoyable, and I will be back to read more of your work!

Again, very original, creative and good. I bet if you thought, you could come up with many more 'rules'. You have a good style of writing - keep it up.

I think this is funny. I mean in a life is acutally funny if you look at it from a certian point of view type thing. It's basicly going into the mind of someone who is abuse drugs. Who has just given up. I think this was good.

This is a very interesting piece, I really liked it. It's weird though how humourous and kind of bedtime story-like the piece is. It's good though it was very educative.

I think this is a great poem to make people reflect on what they do. It makes you think twice about your priorities in life. I couldn't ever criticise this writing, because it is just a clear reflection of the truth. Great work!
