Silence echoes, it has a sound
Silence beckons, to be found.
Those who search out silent places
Find their woes shall multiply
In the many silent faces
That they looked for, that they spied.
Silent looks and silent words
I have heard and I have seen
In the many silent herds
But maybe, it was just a dream.
Magnitude in silent phrases,
The power of unspoken thought.
Genius past through the ages,
For Nothingness is not for nought.
Emptiness of silent houses,
Silence of an empty room.
With all the noise that now surrounds us
I wish silence would consume.
