Description:

I was never sure if sharing this prayer was the right thing to do but as this is the beginning of a new year I decided I would. It is the beginning of each day for me.

Prayer For A New Day

Dearest Father I pray that You will look down
with mercy and grant Thy blessings upon all of my friends and family especially those most in need.
Give me strength and help me to be a good man and a kind man and treat my fellow human beings with love and understanding.
I thank You Lord for all the blessings You have
bestowed upon me and I pray that You will send down Thy angels to guide and protect me this day.

I dont want anyone to be religous! I would rather they just became a Child of God, then all lines and barriers would be nill and void.
A prayer is just what we all need, and if we all ask this one imagine the results!
Get out the soapbox and lay it to us! Grab the oil and water and lets get this revival on its way. Hand out the white hankeys and pass the kleenex the alter will be busy tonight.

I love prayers and I find such comfort in speaking to "IT"
It's not about being religious as much as it is about being thankful - something we all can do & you wish unselfishly for others before yourself & that says a lot Dan!

  Hi Dan,

I think prayers say more to us about ourself than they say to God. If you get a chance, check out Rumi's poem about Moses and the shepherd.

This one says wonderful things about you.

I love the sincerity and simple beauty in your Psalm.

Nice!

Well, this is appropriate. I hope we don't have any disasters this year like Katrina or the Kashmir earthquake', not to mention the tsunami of 2004. I think the world is still reeling from those wounds. I hope you have a great 2006, Amy

Well, Dan, I'll say thank you for sharing.

I'm not in the teeniest bit religious, but that doesn't stop me appreciating the sentiments in your words, and if I WAS religious, I'd like to pray something like that.

Thanks again, may you get all the blessings you deserve

be happy

Graeme
