The sun rising in the east was a sign that they didn’t have too long till they had to be back at the Phoenix. They arrived at a brick warehouse that spanned the length of the dock. Fenced in with barbed and consenting wire.

Stopping at the edge of the fence line both dismounted from the scooter. Then packed it into the Odessa as it landed 10 feet away.

Hopping on the wing and over the fence carefully so not to set off any alarms. The dynamic duo pulled out their newly acquired hardware and ran a trace.

The trace took them to the warehouse itself. A large stone and composite structure that had been abandoned for quite awhile. Taking out her blaster Haruko made short work of the locking tumbler and swung the door open.

The shadows retreated in the dawn’s light. The twins walked into the warehouse and were engulfed in the blackness.

Outside a long sleek black aero car glided to the ground and the hatch opened.

Their slow loud footsteps echoed down the cavernous warehouse walls.
The computer monitor on The police scanner flickered.

The lurker, patiently waited for such an opportunity as the one that had just presented itself. The twins had lead him to the item he was looking for. At least Qol has seen it coming.

“Haruko, I just saw something.” Mamimi drew real close to her.

Haruko drew out her blaster and tossed one to Mamimi. ~now remember, relax, grip, squeeze~

    A nervous Mamimi nodded.

With daylight soon approaching more and more of the sun’s rays poked through the windows revealing a glimmer of something. Haruko fired but what she thought she saw simply avoided it.

Mamimi looked around frantically trying to get a bead on it. Her breathing became heavier as she became scared.

Haruko instinctively turned around 180 degrees and leveled her blaster at the electronic signature she had sensed.

The Lurker deactivated the field and smiled a grisly half smile “Hmmp.” He mused.

Before Haruko stood a huge misshapen hulk of a man. He had a very long gaunt face. Large hands and a very strong upper torso. This man must have been the one sent to kill Qol.

“That’s far enough.” Haruko eyed the man, looking for the perfect shot. She slipped her finger over the double trigger and slowly squeezed it. It came down to a choice of either him or her and sis.

In the blink of an eye the Lurker almost appeared to have vanished right before her very eyes and reappear directly in front of her. He raised his mighty hand and with one swing sent her flying several feet into a sack of wooden crates.

A loud snapping noise came from that direction.

Mamimi looked wide eyed at the man as he lowered his hand. She pointed the blaster at him with a shaky hand. Her knees buckled slowly beneath her.

The Lurker padded towards her with hands clenched at his sides. His disrupter still holstered.

Mamimi took several wobbly steps backwards.

Haruko charged the man with her Guitar, She jumped into the air wielding the blunt weapon. Her scream distracted him long enough for her to land a blow on the Towering brute.

Recognizing a new threat he faced his attacker.

Haruko let of with a direct shot to the crouch, firmly landing a direct blow.

The lurker didn’t drop, instead he growled

Haruko’s surprised look cost her as the Lurker balled up his fist and slammed her right square in the ribs. Flinging her across the warehouse like a rag doll.

Mamimi gasped with a throbbing pain as she doubled over clutching her ribs and dropped to her knees as she gasped for air. She dropped her blaster.

The Lurker came toward her again.

Mamimi dove for the blaster and fumbled with it. Clearing her head of the pain she griped the handle of the gun and got off a shot.

But not before she had heard an electronic clicking noise. Then the Lurker sped up and slowed down unostentatiously directly in front of her. He planted a foot on her hand that carried the blaster and grabbed her by the skull and began to pick her up.

Mamimi cried out in pain as the Lurker went to separating her arm from the rest of her body.

Haruko staggered to her feet, dizzy and still in pain she grabbed her guitar out of one of the broken crates and leveled the neck at the hulk and fired.

The shot missed but it was enough for him to drop the limp Mamimi and draw out both disrupters.

Haruko took cover while he pumped out the green bolts of energy from his weapons.

She fired back and fell over a pile of crates.

The Lurker fired at one of the crates at the top of another stack sending the contents spilling onto Haruko.

He took cover but not before kicking the blaster away from Mamimi and wrapping his arms around her. He began to squeeze her.

She could hear something go crunch or crack.

Haruko lie helpless on the floor watching as her life was about to end. She mustered up all the strength she had left and closed her eyes.

Mamimi could sense what Haruko was doing and tried to do the same, while tuning out the pain.

Out side the Odessa control panel lit up The tiny ship lifted off its pads. The vtol jets hovered the craft towards the building. The afterburners kicked in.

The Lurker constricted Mamimi even harder. She grunted and shuddered under the pressure.

All of a sudden there was a loud bang and a flood of bright lights. The Lurker turned to face the noise and was momentarily blinded. Shielding his eyes he dropped Mamimi.

The Odessa lifted the man up onto its nose and slammed into the brick wall. Finally lodging itself there before the engines died down and the ship pulled out of the wall just before settling down on its landing pads.

Tempest watched Tuesday's knife fly past her arm and then embed itself into the hand of one of Mojo's thugs.

"Sorry... just had to show him who's boss..." Tuesday said as she walked past Tempest.

"Indeed," the captain said and then rounded the remainder of her group up. "To the ship."

As they left the casino area, Tempest scanned the floor for any signs of Esteban and the twins.

Tempest didn't plan to stand around waiting. They had to get to the ship and get the hell out of dodge. Esteban knew the way and so did the twins, so she and the group that was with her continued on to the docking rings of the Port where they landed.

As she went, she mapped out her actions in her head, as she always did, and she knew the first thing on her list, once the Phoenix was in the air, was to check her messages and confirm whether or not Qol was dead.

Mammimi was the first to drag herself to the ship. The comm on the Odessa announced that the Rising Pheonix had launche just 10 minutes ago and was heading into orbit.

Haruko went to the cockpit hatch and threr herself over kip of the hatch. WIth a grunt she pulled herself into the ship and dangled her arm over the side so that Mamimi could do the same.

As soon as they were in the Odessa came to life. The engiens howled, whined and roared. Haruko tilted the trhottle back towards her and the nimble ship pulled its nose out of the brick building it had been embeded in.

Putting the thrusters on the full the Mark V fighter retracted its gear and thrundered out of the ware house and into the mid day sky.

"Lay in an intercept coaurse." Haruko told Mamimi and could not have been happier to leave this rock.

In just a few short minutes the gravity effects of escape velocity subcidet and they saw Home sweet home. "It's good to be home." Mamimi said enthusiasticaly.

Haruko set the landing sequence into full swiing and the ship auto navigated the angle of approach into the spare cargo hold.

No sooner the the engines whined down the twinds clammered out of the ship and collapsed on the deck. "Haruko we need to get you some attention."

"Nonsense I'm fine. See." She tried to stand but only doubled over whimpering.

Mamimi was no doctor by a long shot but if she had to guess Haruko might have gotten her ribs briuesd fractured or broken that much was for sure.

Both lie on the floor sprawled out trying to regain thier strength. Having figured that Nashsan would want a report Haruko had loaded up thier video report into the Odessa's didgital loge and transfered it via camara feed to Captain Nash's data receiver.

Mamimi like Haruko had made it far enough to some cargo cotianers and treid to prop themselves up. Resulting in both girls blacking out.

This ain't poetry dude, it's a cartoon story. Don't abuse the site, post it in prose at least!

You have the beginnings of stanzas, but no poetic flow. Cartoon charecters don't evoke any emotional response. Take it to the role play area.

Besides, this kind of story has been done lots of times before. Try poetry.
