Longing is all I know
Entrenched deep in the abyss of my mind.
Never does it assume to abandon me.
Drawing upon my strengths
As it drains me of each and every tear of hope.
A Longing not returned
Nor appears to be the future illustration.
Every other is the recipient of this,
Of which I long to grasp into my keeping.
This Longing I crave returned to me.
Longing as time passes by without a glimmer of hope.
All remnants of happiness waning thin
As my Longing goes unobserved.
No other hopes or dreams for my Longed one
As another desires my Longing.
This Longing is the heart of my existence.
An existence with no design or hope
As I forge onward behind a mask of imagery.
I am a beaten, barren armor
Now that I fathom the uselessness
For these hopes and tender feelings are merely
an Imaginative Dream.
