Description: well...before u read this, read Back to School, if you haven't...i dunno if this poem is gonna be liked as much cuz its not funny, but oh well... hehe
today was the first day of school after "winter break" (its summer here..) for all those who wonder, i have 6 weeks vacation both in dec/jan and june/july.
i just thought that the second stanza, after the first line might confuse ppl cuz its happy, but then its sad...but i wanna include those 3 lines cuz even though stuff at school sucks, there is friendship...
Lettme know your thoughts, any corrections..
Back To School 2 -------------------------------------------
You sit there...
You look around...
All those faces you haven't seen
for the past six weeks are there.
"I'm back," you think to yourself...
Another semester with friends,
those who care; those who ask:
"How are you?" - and mean it.
Another semester of taking the bull everyone sends your way.
Another semester of listening to teachers talk.
This time it's different though, you are prepared.
You know what it's going to be like,
You're ready to take on the kid who thinks he's all that.
You're ready to take on all the homework the teachers will pile on you, and not stress.
But at the end of the day,
all you want to do,
is throw the book at the teachers face.
This was pretty good as well...it wasn't as funny but the seriousness made it more meaningful, becuase honestly there is alot of Bull[censored] that goes around school a lot of the time it isn't worth it, prepared or not. but anyway good write ummmm lol I'm kinda at a loss for what else to say about this one....I can't think of anything I"d change. =peace=
trent or tamer wont be studying law they'll be going to ego rehab or at a burger joint or something, just chill Deeps, youve got good friends there too as you stated previously in your comment. enjoy school while you have it, and especially while you have it with people who ask "how are you" and really mean it, thats really something worth going to school for. and the homework, youre ready for the stress, apparently I dont know what stress means, I dont live in your shoes, but youve weathered a couple of other stressful years rather well, with the occasional tumble here and there, but it happens. I always tumble while I walk, but once I get up, I learn and make sure the next time I tumble that I dont do it the same way. at least youre treating this semester as if its going to be horrible, so that you will be prepared, and if it isnt all that bad, your sense of relief will escalate, enjoy this, year, enjoy your friends, glad to see you were spurred to write something, God bless, jc prescott
Oh, this is nice. I read the first part and together the two make a fine poem. I personally am in love with school and know that these will be referred to in my future as the best days of my life. That teacher you want to throw the book at... he wasn't all that bad. The guy who thought he was all that... he's over it now and studying law. Then there are those friends. Always there in your memory. Precious days...
