    Description:
I'm reading this book..."When Your Past Is Hurting Your Present...Getting Beyond Fears That Hold You Back" by Sue Augustine. It is incredibly upbuilding and encouraging...self healing and all.

Once in a while, I'll read something that is just so profound (to me), that I really want to share it with someone. I hope it's okay to do this.

None of this is my write. Everything comes directly from a page in Sue Augustine's book.

    "When it gets dark enough,
you can see the stars." (Annonymous)

"Many of us live the first half of our adult lives postponing satisfaction...
and the last half with regrets.
Fulfillment seems always to be just over next hill..." ("The Achilles Syndrome" by Dr. Harold Bloomfield)

Life will always have its share of difficulties-and in the midst of them, you can choose to be a fulfilled, caring, loving, healthy, and balanced person. Learn to choose hapiness in this moment in spite of your current circumstances. Instead of concentrating on why you cannot be happy...focus your attention on all that is good. It is possible to find happiness where you are...when you put your mind to it.

A man named Paul put it best...

"I've learned by now to be quite content whatever my circumstances. I'm just as happy with little as much, with much as little. I've found the recipe for being happy whether full or hungry, hands full or empty. Whatever I have, wherever I am, I can make it through anything in the One who makes me who I am..." (Phil 4:11-13)

There's an old familiar quote that reminds us, "Today is a gift, that's why they call it the "present!" Your life is a gift. So take your present, unwrap it carefully, open it gently, and live it intensely!

God what perfect timing...i had a rough morning, but have spent the day unwrapping my present very intently on harnessing the happiness i didn't use to think i deserved.

I like your vibe Kimmy. So pleased to meet you.

Its funny, i've read the bible front-to-back and don't remember that lucid and inspirational line from Phillipians. So that was a nice refresher.

I've been zooming around elite today...nursing a hang over and finding inspiration in mere proximity to so many beautiful people around here.

    You among them.

    thank you,
    wishing you well,
    kc

Thank you for posting thoughts that had affected you and thinking of letting us read them. I agree with everything written above, and I hope to live my life on that basis.

Well, all this seems to be a piece of advice from the author. I do reckon it's a beautiful way to see to life. But it's so much simpler to put it into words than to do it. This will probably sound a bit pessimistic ... but thatís me, you know... the eternal pessimistic... I do want to be happy and to find joy though I can't seem to disentangle myself from all the [censored] thatís around me. I do consider that happiness is not an everlasting experience, so to speak. It's more like a state you sporadically reach and that lasts just a few seconds. I'd really like to have the recipe this guy points out and to quit being the pessimism prick I happen to be.

Well, I guess I overexcited with this the little extract,

    Take care,

    Kind regards,

    Ethan.
